HKS Japan has updated their previously ‘manual transmission only’ listing for their 4015 supercharger to now include support for the CVT version of the Honda CR-Z.
This now makes available up to Stage 1 kit conversion of the CR-Z automatic to 175.1ps at 5,500rpm and 24.6kg-m at 4,700rpm. The full stage 2 conversion and access to the GT7040 are still out of reach for the CVT raising the ceiling to 172hp is still a welcome alteration.

Can I install this s/c on my CVT USDM? Is it an easy install for someone with hardly any experience? I’ve rebuilt engines but it still seems like a daunting task.
Currently there have not been anyone with a USDM model that has tried this install. I would recommend waiting for full USDM certification before getting this if you have no experience, especially due to the cost.
Rebuilding engine experience is a good start, but it may also require some fab experience depending on what differences in the USDM model vs JDM model are.

Is there any information out about this yet?
It’s available for JDM and EDM but not USDM yet.

Will it still work wit da USDM CRZ? Or will I have to do dat stand alone crap with mah ECU..? I haven’t put tht much work in mah skyline R34 and it goes above 700 hp.. Niggz man.. Niggz…
From what I understand the unit itself might fit, and that the actual issue is that the ECU piggyback is only mapped for JDM/EDM. So it would be standalone ECU work for USDM. Also have yet to see anyone actually try it for USDM so there are no confirmations on actual fitment.
